Back from Surfaces!

Where to start....

1. Much to my shock the show did not actually start until friday. I left on friday at noon (it was my daughters birthday). They schedule the seminars on thursday, but the show started on friday. That is kinda silly in my opionion. I think it hurts the seminar attendance.

2. The show is kinda small. Not nearly as big as expo. It was well laid out and (http://maplered.com) everyone I spoke to had high expectations. The seminar was well attended and (http://maplered.com) the one I participated in was very informative. (there were 4 presenters including myself)

3. THIS IS THE CRAZY PART. Stone and (http://maplered.com) Stone (http://g603.net) gear seemed dominate the show. But then again that is what I am into...so maybe it seemed that way only to me.

Check this out!

Park had a Yukon and (http://maplered.com) a Destiny
Northwodd had a 138 cnc
Breton had a combi cut
AGM had a cnc
USG had a TE Experience and (http://maplered.com) a Flying flat
MIA had a booth
DuPont the miracle of science started thier certified Granite (http://tanbrown.org) thing
Blick was there
A dozen diamond suppliers
and (http://maplered.com) many others that have slipped my mind.

It felt like a small Stone (http://g603.net) show mixed with solid surface show, which was cool. They are doing some crazy stuff with the HI-Macs and (http://maplered.com) other solid surface Material (http://g654.org) s. I saw some displays that were amazing and (http://maplered.com) got alot of my respect from a fabrication stand (http://maplered.com) point.

The international PIZZA convention was next door...smelled yummy but they would not let me in...grrrrr!

I was glad I attended....IF you are only doing Stone (http://g603.net) you are prolly going to be better off going to Expo...duh. BUT if you are looking at solid surface it is definatly the show to go to.

I had a great time.
